In the past 2 weeks.....

MYA HAS HER 15 MONTH CHECK-UP

As most of you know, Mya had a great check-up. Once again she is extremely healthy...& tiny. She is now 18 lbs 12 oz & 28.5 inches tall. That puts her in the 3rd percentile for weight & just over the 5th percentile for height. She is growing just like she should which means her weight is evening out (losing that adorable baby fat!) so this may be the last time that she will be on the growth chart for a while because she'll fall right off the bottom. Daddy & Mommy think it's very cute & are just always happy to hear that she is nice & strong.

Our baby is definitely becoming a little girl. Crawling is basically a thing of the past as she walks all the time now. Sometimes so quickly that she takes a tumble, but usually recovers quickly. We haven't had any serious injuries yet...knock on wood. She has several push toys & loves to play with them all. Grandma Wilma just got her a grocery cart full of groceries & it is currently one of her favorites to walk around with.

As further proof that she is getting older we received the official word from daycare that she will be moving up to the toddler room July 23rd. In that room the children are expected to spend 2 hours in the middle of the day either sleeping or doing a quiet activity on their cots. Mya has been working on it for the past week & so far has done extremely well. Mommy is very surprised since she does not normally love to sit still for very long, but we are both very proud of her.

SPENDING TIME IN THE POOL!

Mya has been spending a lot of time playing in the water so far this summer. At home we found her a cute little pool with a dolphin shaped sun-shade that is the perfect size for her & there is just enough room for Mommy to cool her feet. This past weekend she also went swimming in a pool Grandpa & Grandma put out special just for her.

Mya & Grandma both had a great time playing in the water & especially with Grandma's cup of lemonade that, of course, she never actually got to drink.

Grandpa & Grandma also set up a slide for Mya & she loved playing on it, too.

IN OTHER NEWS....

MYA HAS HER FIRST SLEEP OVER!!

This past Saturday Mya spent the night with Grandpa & Grandma Miller. This was the very first time we let her spend the night anywhere & it turned out to be a lot harder on Mommy than it was on her. She had a great time & we were told she was a very good girl.
