~ CULP FAMILY NEWS ~

Now that Uncle Quinn, Lisa & Natalie are all home and settled in we took Mya over to meet her newest cousin. Although Mya sees babies at daycare every day this is the first time that she has been around one that Mommy & Daddy were holding so we weren't sure how it was going to go, but she was not the least bit jealous &, on the contrary, was very interested & excited by Natalie. At least for a few minutes until something more interesting caught her eye.

Mya had a very busy weekend.....

Mommy took Friday off for her birthday so Mya & her had a 3-day weekend together & it turned out to be a very busy one. Besides welcoming a new cousin into the world we visited with some other friends:

On Friday we met Misty & Evan at Tuttle for lunch & some fun in the play area. It was very crowded & there were a lot of bigger kids that day so we didn't stay a long time, but both kids seemed to have a really good time practicing their walking skills, trying out their climbing abilities, & scurrying through tunnels.

Today as we were leaving we had happen to see Micah with his Mommy & Daddy visiting his Aunt Audra next door. The kids had a good time showing off their newly acquired walking skills to one another & even attempted to chase after one another a couple of times.

Other great news of the week is that Mya is binkie-free as of last Thursday! It is unclear if it was harder on Mommy or Mya to let the habit go, but since we had a long weekend to work on it we decided to bite the bullet & see how sleeping without would go. The very first night Mya cried out a few times, but she was extra tired so we can't be sure if it was from missing her binkie or just from exhausted frustration. Since then she has taken all of her naps & gone to bed at night with absolutely no problem at all. We are so proud of her & happy to be done with that 'disgusting' habit.
