No one could ask for a better 1st birthday!

We want to thank everyone for coming to the party. We also want to thank everyone at the party & otherwise for all of the very generous cards & gifts. Mya may not remember any of this, but one day she will be able to look back at the mementos & know that she was very loved & cared for. All of you helped to make this past year even more special & we were very happy to share our celebration with you. Thank you again!!

Special thanks to Aunt Jeanie for the adorable birthday shirt. You did a fantastic job...it was perfect.

Doctor's Visit

Mya had her 1 year check-up on Friday. Once again she is tiny but healthy. She is 27.5 inches tall & weighs 17 lbs 8oz. That puts her in the 10th percentile for height & the 5th percentile for weight. Very small, but right on track for her own growing curve. The doctor shown a light on her bottom gums & it was easy to see that there were 2 little teeth just waiting to pop through so we'll be keeping a close eye out for those. We discussed her unwillingness to eat, but the doctor says it's pretty normal. Especially with sore gums & learning that playing is much more fun that sitting down to eat. The plan now is to work on getting rid of all bottles & binkies.
Next visit scheduled in June at 15 months.
