MYA TURNS 11 MONTHS OLD!!

Snow Bound

Like everyone else we have been pretty trapped at home due to the weather. Work for Daddy & Mommy both continued; however, daycare was closed on Wednesday so Mommy stayed home & kept warm with Mya while Daddy braved the elements.
Mya is fascinated by the look of the snow through the windows & we would love to take her out & let her explore, but, unfortunately, the extremely low temperatures has made that impossible. That will have to be something we have to look forward to next year.

To keep busy Mya has been working on her walking skills. She has made great progress & is no longer just walking around stationary objects, but now finds anything that will move & pushes it while she walks quickly (if not always steadily) behind. She doesn't always perform on cue, however, so I've had difficulty getting a decent video, but am working on it.

New in our house since the last post are new baby gates. One was installed at the top of the stairs to prevent her from taking a bad tumble. She has not figured out yet how to climb the stairs so the downstairs gate is primarily being used to keep her out of the kitchen. Digging in, throwing & eating the dogs' food has become an enjoyable pasttime. As a result, the baby gate is not a hit at all.

Daddy sprained his ankle back from the neighbors' house in the snow last week. Right now it is wrapped & is feeling a little better each day.
We hope everyone else survived this harsh blast of winter as well as we did!! Hopefully, the groundhog is right & spring is waiting just around the next corner.
