Hi Everyone! I've had several requests for a website to keep everyone updated on what's new in Mya-land &, of course, on the newest cute picture. So, here we go! She's been an extremely busy little girl the last couple of weeks so this is a great place to start. As most of you know we took Mya to the doctor for her 9 month check-up on the 8th. Well, they confirmed it...she's tiny!! 26.25" tall & 15 lbs 15 oz. That puts her in the 20th percentile for height & the 10th percentile for weight. Definitely a wee one, but she is growing strong & healthy. She's still not crawling, but gets on to her hands & knees a lot so we think that will happen any day. She's also started standing up if you put her in front of something to hold on to & when she falls quickly tries to pull herself up again. She isn't quite motivated to try the whole thing on her own yet, but I'm sure that will be right around the corner as well. This past weekend she surprised us all & decided to start trying out words! Most accidents in our house are now followed by the phrase, "Uh Oh Spaghetteos!". (How our language quickly reverts upon becoming a parent). On Saturday, after an especially disasterous spill of the building blocks, I said the magic words which got a quick response that I was sure sounded like Uh Oh. Thinking I was surely hearing things I repeated it back & was shocked to hear her say it once again. This time clear as a bell. Daddy was at the store & we had initally had some trouble getting her to repeat it, but since then she says it pretty much all the time. It's so cute! She spoke again at my aunt & uncle's house on Sunday. She was sitting with my cousin, Mandy, who was pointing at a Santa placemat & saying Ho Ho Ho. Mya said it back very clearly just once. There has not been a repeat performance of that phrase as of yet, but I'm working hard in hopes that maybe she will say it again on Christmas Day. Now we are just anxiously awaiting her first Christmas. There is certainly a lot of presents under our tree for a little girl that is probably going to be more excited by the wrapping paper than by anything we could have possibly put thought & money into. I'm pretty sure that's all for now. My goal is to try to update this site at least once a week so keep checking back! We have lots of holiday plans in the next few days so I'm going to try to upload pictures throughout. For now we hope everyone has a great weekend & a very Merry Christmas!!!
